Policy and Quality Assurance |
The Research Higher Degrees Committee, a sub-committee of Academic Board, determines graduate research policy. MSGR, working in collaboration with Faculties, Graduate Schools and Departments, has primary responsibility for policy implementation and for ensuring a consistent, high-quality research experience for candidates across the University. MSGR Associate Deans also chair a number of committees focusing on orientation, supervision, graduate research management and the commercialisation of research. |

Supporting Supervisors |
Supervisors at the University of Melbourne are supported by colleagues, Heads of Department and the academic and professional staff at MSGR. MSGR provides extensive training workshops and professional development opportunities for academic staff supervising graduate research students. We also have a range of publications, resources and advice, and are the first port of call for advice and information. |
